The Will to Wife Journal, Vol. I presents the transcripts from the first three months of The Will to Wife Podcast in journal format, with full color interior. Catholic wives in every season are invited to pause, reset, and re-center their approach to marriage on Christ.

What can wine teach us about God, about ourselves, and about our relationship with Him? A collection of meditations to be paired with your nightly glass of wine, Theology in the Bottle: Where Cana Meets the Cross brings a fresh perspective on the Christian life through the eyes of an amateur wine lover.

  • "Schreck does an amazing job finding applicable lessons and relatable stories from all the aspects of wine, grapes, and from Scripture. "

  • “This is a fascinating look into two subjects I knew relatively little about — wine and Catholic theology. Schreck does an excellent job pulling truths from unexpected places, for example: the shape of a wine bottle can lead us to seek more information, read the label closer, or even make the leap to bring the bottle into our homes—likewise the shapes our lives take may invite others to examine closer what (who) gives us our hope, or even take that faith as their own.

“The book reads easily, with each chapter being both manageable to read and full of things to consider. I truly enjoyed learning about wine through the voice of someone who is clearly passionate about the topic, and I appreciated how those lessons could be interwoven with solid theological truths. Theology in the Bottle is insightful and interesting!”

  • A book you won't want to put down!

I know that this is a book that should be read in small bits. I know that I should read a chapter, then sit with it and think about it and give myself time to contemplate the beauty of what she is saying. I know that if I don't give myself that time, I may miss out on fully understanding the depth of this book and it's discoveries. But, even knowing that, I find myself wanting to read it all in one sitting from cover to cover. I just don't want to put it down! It is so eloquently written, well thought out, and ultimately it's a book that makes you think. I plan on purchasing several more copies to share with family and friends. I highly recommend this book!

  • One-on-One Coaching

I loved working through my strengths profile with Aurora! She was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Clifton Strengths. It helped me gain insight into myself and explained a lot about why I am the way I am and how God created me. I was also able to send her my full 34 profile as well as my husband's, and Aurora's analysis of how we complimented each other as well as how our strengths and non pattern themes impacted challenging areas were all so very insightful. It gave me a deeper perspective on our love story, and I am still utilizing the information from our coaching sessions to further improve myself and strengthen our marriage.

Aurora really helped us understand another lense through which I could see my husband and vice versa. It helped me think of ways to implement EW skills more intuned to my husband’s strengths. A positive approach. For sure.

  • One-on-One Coaching

Aurora's coaching was really eye-opening for me. She helped me understand my strengths not only in how they benefit me and my work, but also in how they point me to what I need for a full, satisfying life. Aurora's coaching method was kind and question-oriented, so I left sessions with her feeling like she helped me find deeper insights by showing, not telling, which was really quite powerful.

Coaching Goals: In receiving coaching from Aurora, I hoped to reconnect with my strengths on a personal level and she definitely helped me do that. I tend to see more clearly how strengths play out in my work, but Aurora helped me chart a path for better understanding of how my strengths can be used better for God's kingdom work.

I enjoyed working with Aurora because she was very respectful of my time. She showed up on time for each Zoom meeting and was very good about keeping our meetings flowing. We always finished at the scheduled time which I appreciated. Aurora was prepared for each meeting with an outline and slides to share with pertinent information.

The Will to Wife Podcast

An effort inspired by the motto of the Saint John Institute, Aude Christo Magna! (meaning, Dare Great Things for Christ™!) and in imitation of the Institute’s audacious methods, this podcast offers a deep-dive into the riches of Sacred Scripture and the traditions and teachings of Mother Church, particularly those texts long-forgotten, often glossed-over, or even deliberately ignored or rejected.

The Will to Wife Podcast seeks to slake that thirst of wives sincerely seeking sainthood for a deeper understanding of the breadth and depth and beauty of their vocation as the crown of God’s creation.

shop aiswine

Due to the recent demands of a) making our first house homey, and b) quite literally growing the family, shop aiswine is temporarily on hold. (At least, we hope it’s temporary! Ais intends to somehow work shop aiswine - the jewelry-making, the sewing, the website-building and order fulfillment SOPs - into our homeschool curriculum, someday, down the road…) Thank you to all who have supported shop aiswine in the past. Blessings!
