About

Aurora Schreck earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Culinary Arts from the Midwest Culinary Institute in partnership with the University of Cincinnati, and completed the Introductory Course offered by the Court of Master Sommeliers while in college. During her six-year stint working in the food industry, she had the privilege of working for chefs Jared Bennett, Yajan Upadhyaya, and Scott Schornack. Her career as a professional chef was cut short by a permanent injury.

She studied Theology of the Body post-grad under the tutelage of Sr. Helena Burns, FSP, and completed several other philosophy and theology courses through the University of Mary and The Athenaeum of Ohio. Upon leaving the food industry, she began working for the Church in 2016. Aurora retired from working for the Saint John Institute in 2023 and is now a full-time homemaker.

Aurora is the proud sister of four younger siblings: Paco, the Associate Director of Young Adult Evangelization for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati; seminarian Miguel, aka The Church Wanderer; Yelena, administrative support for The Human Formation Coalition; and Antonio, budding cube master.

Aurora’s husband, Steven, has taught multiple subjects for students ages 5 through adulthood, and is blessed to be currently enjoying his dream job at Campbell County Adult Education. He also serves as Aurora’s book editor, co-producer of her podcast, and principal of their little homeschool. They are the proud parents of Joseph Maximilian, Magdalena Rose, Zèlie Prosperidad, and Adelaide Jane.
